When looking for products its important to know your skin type. Using the incorrect products can exacerbate the problem.
Normal Skin
Normal skin is rare. This means your skin is neither dry or oily. The skin is well balanced and not prone to breakouts or flaky patches. Generally, the skin is smooth in texture and the pores are small. Normal skin is rarely sensitive.
Dry Skin
Dry skin may feel itchy, irritated, or inflamed. If it’s very dry, it can become rough and skin can crack or peel. Dry skin is usually characterized by small pores, tight, and dull skin. Dry skin produces less sebum than normal skin. The skin needs to be lubricated to to ensure a healthy skin barrier.
Oily Skin
Oily skin is characterized by large pores, breakouts, and a shiny appearance. Oily skin produces too much sebum which leads to clogged pores. Hormone changes, stress, or even genetics may increase sebum production.
Combination Skin
Combination skin is characterized by an oily T-Zone, which includes the forehead, nose, and chin. The rest of the face would be normal or dry. You will see large pores, black heads, and shine in the T-Zone area.
Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is typically red, dry, and bumpy. Sensitive skin is easily irritated by products. Your skin may feel itchy or burn. You may be allergy prone or have rosacea.
